Location: Midtown Manhattan, a short walk from Times Square. By bus - from 5th Avenue, take M1, M2, M3, M4 or M5 to 50th Street. By bus from Broadway - take M6 or M7 get off at 50th Street. From 49th Street - take M27 or M50 get off anywhere between 5th and 7th Avenue.
Description: Named after John D. Rockefeller Junior, the Rockefeller Center is a complex of 19 buildings which are situated between 48th and 51st Streets. In 1988 it was declared National Historic Landmark. Spanning between 5th Avenue & 7th Avenue it is located in the center of Midtown Manhattan. Attractions include the recently opened Top of the Rock Observatory Deck, which is on the 70th floor of the Rockefeller Plaza and offers superb views across the city. The Deck is open daily from 8am until midnight with the last elevator to the Observatory at 11pm.
There are many other visitor attractions including: An Ice Rink, Radio City Music Hall, NBC headquarters - which are located in the GE Buidling, as well many world famous works of art plus shops bars and restaurants.
