| Description: | The Egyptian Collection has an impressive array of monuments from the 'Old Kingdom' and the Near Eastern Collection has a significant number of monuments of ancient South Arabia. The picture gallery includes works from the Venetian Renaissance as well as works by Flemmish masters from the 15th to 17th century with paintings by artists such as Titian, Veronese, Tintoretto, van Eyck, Rubens, and van Dyck. The Collection of Greek and Roman Antiquities is one of the most important of its kind and is internationally renowned. Opening times: Tuesday - Sunday 10am - 6pm Thursday 10am to 9pm (Coin cabinet closes at 6 p.m.) |
