| Description: | One of the world’s great museums, the gallery showcases works by all the great artists of Venice and includes paintings by Paolo and Lorenzo Veneziano, Gentile, Giovanni Bellini, Vittore Carpaccio, Giorgione, Tintoretto and Veronese. Because the gallery is so busy, it is best to book early. Mon 8.15am-2pm; Tues-Sun 8.15am-7.15pm; last admission 30 min. before close (winter hours may be shorter). Free admission for children under 12. |
