Description: National Museum of Ireland collections and exhibitiions are split across four sites, three in Dublin and one in the west in Co. Mayo.

Archaeology and History - on Kildare Street, displays of Ireland’s world famous collection of early Irish Christian treasures and Bronze Age gold ornaments.

Decorative Arts and History - at Collins Barracks, collections of coins, furniture, costume and clothing, coins. The Collins Barracks also features a programme of temporary exhibitions.

Natural History - on Merrion Street. Where children and adults can get closer to nature with exhibits which feature the skeletons of giant Irish deer as well as animals, birds and insects from all points of the compass.

National Museum of Ireland - Country Life is located at Turlough Park in Co. Mayo within beautiful surroundings and gardens. The museum features award-winning collections which tell the story of the way of life of people living in the countryside from previous generations.

Open Sat 10am to 5pm and on Sundays 2pm to 5pm. Closed Monday.
