Destination Limnos
| One of the North Eastern Aegean's best kept secrets, and despite being the eighth largest of the Greek Islands it has not yet been spoilt by over commercialisation. Limnos or as it sometimes called Lemnos boasts some of best beaches to be found anywhere in the North Eastern Aegean. Myrina is the main tourist resort and the capital of Limnos, here you'll find beautiful neoclassical architecture, narrow atmospheric streets, a range of accommodation, bars restaurants shops and together with the usual tourist attractions. Bus services on Limnos aren't the best, many visitors opt to hire a car for a couple of days. The island is also home to a huge airforce base, aircraft noise can be heard daily. |  |
