Destination San Francisco
| One the most popular cities in the USA, situated on the Californian West coast and in the San Francisco Bay area, the city has been devasted by earthquakes and is often shrouded in fog and mist, but visitors still come flocking to this former gold rush town. Attractions include: The Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz, Chinatown district, Union Square and of course those famous Streetcars. Public transportation within the city is provided predominantly by the San Francisco Municipal Railway (Muni) who operate a combined light rail/subway system and a bus network which includes trolleybuses and standard diesel buses. In addition the Muni runs those historic Streetcars. |  |
