Destination Budapest
| Located on the banks of the majestic river Danube, Budapest is Hungary's capital. Twinned with the Gothic city of Buda on the West bank and Pest on the East, both became united in 1873. Buda retains an old-world charm about it while Pest has grand boulevards. For lovers of gastronomy there is a wide range of cuisine on offer, which is reflected by the choice of outlets and prices, from first class de-luxe restaurants to value for money cosey backstreet diners as well as plenty of fast food outlets there's no shortage to choose from. The city is a music lovers paradise with the Liszt Museum, together with the State Opera House. Transportation around the city is cheap and good via trams and buses. |  |
