Good Points: Truly amazing sites to see. Very cheap too
Bad Points: Quite a lot of building going on right now...
Review: Beijing is an amazing City with so much to see and do. A real cultural gem of a City full of places you will never forget. The Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City and The Summer Palace are just some of the treasures there.

Beijing is such a big City, if you are only visiting, perhaps its best to go on a tour package. That way you may get the most of the City. I was there in Chinese New Year, downtown Beijing. Truly an unbelieveable experience

One thing that has to be said is that at the time I was there, there was a lot of building work going on due to the upcoming Olympics and the City seemed a bit gray and colourless because of this at times.

If you are ever in Beijing and are met with the many street sellers, never pay more than a third of the asking price!! You will find many of souveneirs that look very expensive, but will be very cheap - be prepared to haggle.
